SMS welcomes all incoming 6th graders and their parents/guardians to Step Up Night!
Come learn about what to expect for the upcoming year including sports, ASB, the AVID program, health room information, the music program, clubs, and any other questions you might have. Other topics include: developmental expectations, challenges with the transition to middle school, and academic expectations.
Step Up Night will be held in the SMS Commons on April 24th, 2024, at 6pm.
This is for current 5th graders and their parents/guardians only! We look forward to seeing you there.


For Tuesday, February 27, 2024: District-wide, school will operate on regular time. AM buses on snow routes. No out of district transportation.


Sahara Pizza Night! Order pizza on Wednesday, February 28th, and include your students name and their 4th period teacher and Sahara will donate $4 for every order!
The class with the most participation wins a pizza party!

Our Cupids Misfire Mixer last Friday was a huge success! Students dressed up and had a great time dancing or getting their pic taken at the photo booth. Thank you to all who helped make the event happen, and thank you Skyhawks for meeting our BEST expectations- Be respectful, Engaged, Safe, and Trustworthy!


You won't want to miss the play of the year presented by Sultan High School: Wizard of Oz. You can see a show on Thursday, February 22nd at 7 pm, Friday, February 23rd at 7 pm, or Saturday, February 24th at 2 pm or 7 pm. $15 at the school or at the door on the day of the show. Questions? This is public notice that there will be a special meeting held on 2.12.24 at 6 pm in the Sultan Elementary Library for Board District Director position #1 candidate interviews. The normally scheduled study session board meeting will be held at 7 pm in the same location.


Yesterday, the District executed the "Sultan Direct Transfer" with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Approved unanimously by the Board of Natural Resources, the District acquired the piece of DNR land that has been on the Board meeting agenda over the past several months. The land is 49.46 acres, abuts a City of Sultan Urban Growth Area, and was paid for by impact fees at $455,000. This will be an asset for years to come! Questions? Call 360-793-9800.


The Advanced Ag Technology and Welding classes at Sultan High are learning to design and create projects by using the industry-based software, Autocad. Student designs are then cut out of steel or aluminum with a Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) plasma cutter. The United States flags are $150 per flag. The proceeds will go back into the program to support the students!

Sultan Middle School is hosting Cupid's Misfire Mixer on February 16th from 3:00-5:00pm! A dance for all Sultan Middle School students to come and shake their tail feathers, socialize, and have a good time! Wear your most formal or tackiest red, pink and white for this exciting event! Tickets are $5 with ASB and $7 without ASB and will be sold at lunches starting soon.
