Parents who have a Transition to Kindergarten and/or Kindergartener: BUS STOPS REMINDER

There must be an authorized adult present to receive kindergarten students. If there is not an adult at the stop, the student will be returned to the school. At this point, it becomes the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to transport the child.

Please read the updated Transition to Kindergarten and Kindergarten TRANSPORTATION HANDBOOK (←click here) document in full.

If you have a question, feel free to call Transportation at (360) 793-9820.

STANDARD RESPONSE PROTOCOL: INFORMATION FOR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS

Our school has adopted The “I Love U Guys” Foundation’s Standard Response Protocol (SRP). Students and staff will be training, practicing, and drilling the protocol.

COMMON LANGUAGE

The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) is based on an all-hazards approach as opposed to individual scenarios. Like the Incident Command System (ICS), SRP utilizes clear common language while allowing for flexibility in protocol. The premise is simple - there are five specific actions that can be performed during an incident. When communicating these, the action is labeled with a “Term of Art” and is then followed by a “Directive.” Execution of the action is performed by active participants, including students, staff, teachers and first responders. The SRP is based on the following actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter

What To Do To Check Your Student Out of School

As we start a new school year, we would like to remind parents, guardians, and emergnecy contacts that you will be required to show identifiation upon pick up of any student. The front office will verify that you are on the student's contact list and then ask for your ID upon arrive of the building.

If you need to add or update your student's contacts, see the section below. We appreciate your help in this extremely important safety measure.

Update Your Student's Contact Information ☺

Happy New School Year! Be sure to update your parent/guardian/emergency contact information for the 25-26 SY (school year). You can send changes via email, take any paperwork, or call the appropriate school building.
